VW Heritage

VW Heritage is a classic and custom Volkswagen automotive parts specialist based in West Sussex.

Operating as the UK partner for VW Classic Parts, the obsolete parts division of Volkswagen Germany, customers have access to more than 40,000 discontinued spare parts, helping to keep early VW models and modern classics on the road.

Founded in 1986 by David Ward as a ‘one-man operation’ the company now employs 80 people and is located in a modern 45,000 sq.ft warehouse, a little different to the driveway where it all started. The SSP range of engines that VW Heritage offers are remanufactured with lots of used parts, creating a more affordable way to keep old Volkswagens alive.

Since 2008, VW Heritage has contributed to balancing the lifetime emissions of their engines by donating £5 to WLT’s Carbon Balanced programme for each reconditioned engine sold. In addition, they offset carbon emissions associated with business related air travel. Since June 2008, VW Heritage have offset more than 1,200 tonnes of carbon emissions associated with business flights and through the sale of more than 3,000 reconditioned and new aircooled VW engines.
