The company identified that the most significant impact its direct operations have on nature is the land it occupies. It calculated the total area of its global operational facilities to be 517 acres. The Group agreed to take a nature positive approach and protect the equivalent area of biodiverse-rich habitat each year for five years (a total of 2,585 acres).
To achieve this, Spirax-Sarco Engineering has partnered with World Land Trust (WLT), to support our Buy an Acre project on the Somuncurá Plateau in Argentinian Patagonia, helping to facilitate WLT partner Fundacion Habitat y Desarrollo to establish and manage this new nature reserve.
