Parkside Architectural Tiles and Strata Technical Tiles are partner brands with a commitment to deliver sustainable tile specifications for commercial projects. Through continuous improvements and innovation with partners, they are working towards becoming a fully net carbon neutral business by September 2022.

The brands look to improve the sustainability of their supply chain through a range of activities. These include working with innovative tile manufacturers who are finding new ways to improve the energy efficiency of manufacturing, sourcing tiles with a minimum 20% recycled content and working to reduce the carbon emissions of their own activities through green energy and a fleet of highly efficient vehicles.

Their Sustainability & Design Studio is home to some of the world’s most sustainable tiling solutions, including Criaterra, a 100% natural and biodegradable wall tile and Sequel, made from 97% recycled materials including waste glass and sanitary ware.

As part of their effort towards sustainable tile specifications, the brands support World Land Trust through their ’40 for 40’ initiative to preserve natural habitats through the Buy an Acre programme. For every square metre of tiles with over 40% recycled content sold, they donate 40 pence to World Land Trust. Parkside and Strata are  delighted to be supporting the efforts of World Land Trust and are working towards offsetting the unavoidable emissions of the businesses through the Carbon Balanced programme.
