For more than fifty years, Butterfield & Robinson have promoted slow travel, connecting their travellers to meaningful experiences with local places and communities around the world.

Their mission is to travel with integrity, have a positive impact and deep understanding of destinations they send travellers to, and to ensure the long-term health, happiness and wellbeing of people, wildlife and the planet. This is the foundation of their ethos—slow down to see the world—a philosophy of travel that is more important than ever.

Butterfield & Robinson’s Slow Fund supports local educational, cultural and conservation projects in the regions that inspire their trips. In 2022, the Slow Fund began supporting Buy an Acre through an annual donation of US$50,000 with a three year commitment to the programme.
