Swarovski Optik

SWAROVSKI OPTIK, based in Absam, Tyrol, is part of the Swarovski group of companies. Founded in 1949, the Austrian company specialises in the development and manufacturing of long-range optical instruments, such as binoculars and spotting scopes, which are of the highest precision in the premium segment of the market.

Since 2014, SWAROVSKI OPTIK UK has generously donated binoculars to WLT’s Keepers of the Wild to assist rangers with their crucial monitoring and conservation work in the field. The binoculars are from the SLC range, one of the company’s most durable products offering high-optical quality and a large field-of-view. These multi-purpose binoculars are extremely rugged, thanks to the magnesium housing, and comfortable to hold even over long periods. SWAROVSKI OPTIK donations have supported keepers with WLT local partners in Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Mexico, Paraguay and Venezuela.

In addition, SWAROVSKI OPTIK UK has donated binoculars as competition prizes at Birdfair, an annual festival held at Rutland Water each summer.

Peter Antoniou, UK Country Manager for SWAROVSKI OPTIK commented, “We are extremely proud to lend our support to such a worthwhile charity as World Land Trust. The appreciation of nature and environmentally-friendly production is an essential part of our company philosophy, and we therefore hope the rangers find the binoculars help them in the essential work that they do.”

John Burton, CEO and Founder of World Land Trust added, “We are delighted to be working with SWAROVSKI OPTIK as a corporate supporter and the equipment they have donated will make a huge difference to our Keepers of the Wild programme. The rangers we support carry out a difficult job and binoculars are an absolute necessity. Having the highest quality product will help them do the best possible job in protecting threatened habitats.”
