AeroBed® is working in partnership with the World Land Trust by making a donation to purchase four square meters of tropical forest for every AeroBed® Extreme product purchased. Their target is 150 acres (over 600,000 square meters) over the next three years. AeroBed® Extreme inflatable mattresses are made from environmentally friendly Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) which is 100% PVC free. TPU is 100% recyclable and breaks down naturally in the environment, and the packaging is also fully recyclable.

The Allied Irish Bank (AIB) has promised to donate at least €500,000 to conservation projects through a new "Add More Green Fund". Half of this will go to the World Land Trust. Sir David Attenborough, Patron of the World Land Trust said: "I welcome AIB's decision to encourage customers to be more environmentally conscious and we are very pleased to have them as a new supporter of the Trust."

Airport Parking & Hotels (APH) has been supporting the WLT’s Tropical Forest project in Ecuador for several years, mainly by making donations for qualifying airport parking bookings made through their website.  APH and WLT are currently discussing new ways for them to support our work and in the future donations will result from bookings made through their ‘Brightskies’ websites.  APH is also Carbon Balanced through WLT.

Commercial Vehicle Finance Limited

CVF, a Basingstoke-based company specialising in the financing of commercial vehicles for businesses of all sizes, has made a commitment to raise funds for conservation by making a donation to WLT on behalf of its clients, as part of their finance agreement. Working on a figure of £12.50 per client, CVF aim to raise £40,000 per year for the next three years, which WLT, working with it's local partner organisation GUYRA Paraguay, will vest to provide vital support funding for land purchase and protection in the critically-threatened Atlantic Forest in the San Rafael Reserve, Paraguay.

Enterprise Plants

Enterprise Plants

Enterprise Plants specialises in supplying and maintaining environment-enhancing plants in city offices and have been active supporters of the WLT since the early days of the Trust. Through their 'Orchid Planter', Enterprise Plants raise funds to protect orchids in their natural rainforest habitat.

In order to attract new companies, Enterprise Plants offer the Planters free for the first month, and make a donation of £25 per planter to the WLT for land purchases in the Ecuadorian rainforest.

Henkel Loctite Adhesives Ltd (HLA) are promoting World Land Trust through the sale of Solvite Wallpaper Paste. HLA has demonstrated its responsible approach to the environment and WLT is delighted to be part of their fundraising promotion. Participation in the on-pack competition will result in £1 for every entry and, in addition, 1p from the sale of each pack will be donated to WLT.

We hope that this partnership will save thousands of acres of tropical forest and their wildlife. MyElephantBites.com has introduced a Christmas campaign to get people not to send cards but to send electronic photomovies instead, using their technology that makes it easy for anyone to 'make something amazing and also help save the planet'. MyElephantBites will raise funds for conservation by donating to WLT a percentage of each ePhotomovie sold during the Christmas 2007 campaign, with the goal of saving 1000 acres of tropical forest.

Natural History Books Service

The Natural History Books Service has been a supporter of the World Land Trust right from the launch.  Over the years its support has been very diverse. In particular it has supported several publications, in particular wall charts and posters, and recently it has become the major sponsor of the the WLTs Books for Conservation. Hundreds of books are sent to WLT’s partner organisations, and other deserving NGOs, enabling them to build libraries, often in countries where books are hard to obtain.

A major power supplier in the United Kingdom SSE have contracted the WLT to plant trees as part of a customer incentive programme.  The World Land Trust partners in Ecuador, Brazil, Paraguay and Mexico are using the funds from this sponsorship for restoration ecology, which involves planting up to 60 species of tree at a single site.

Planting and preserving rainforests

One of the UK’s fastest growing online travel businesses, TravelRepublic.co.uk, wanted to address the issue of carbon dioxide emissions from their flights and to put something back into the planet's biodiversity.

Every time a flight is booked on Travel Republic’s website, the carbon dioxide emissions from that flight are automatically calculated, and the customer has the opportunity to offset their emissions. In addition, Travel Republic preserve existing rainforest for every customer making a booking with them.
