2024 saw WLT continue to strive for the ambitious goals set out in our strategy with our still growing network of over 50 conservation partners.
Our supporters helped protect six corridors: in Kenya, Guatemala, and Tanzania, and by monitoring wildlife in our supported projects, we found that more than 98% of key biodiversity was preserved. The preservation of so many species, including 135 species classified as globally threatened by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), at a time of global biodiversity crisis is evidence of the impact that can be achieved with direct conservation action.

Established in 2005, World Land Trust’s Carbon Balanced programme offers individuals and organisations one of the most effective ways to take action on climate change. After measuring your carbon footprint and reducing what you can, you’ll balance your unavoidable emissions by supporting the protection of forests that store harmful carbon dioxide (CO₂), or by funding reforestation projects that actively remove it from the atmosphere.
