American Bird Conservancy

Organisation’s aim: ABC’s aim is to conserve native birds and their habitats throughout the Americas. Its focus is on threats to birds in the Western Hemisphere, including overuse of pesticides, urban sprawl, habitat destruction, and invasive species.

ABC works with partners to achieve four goals: halt extinctions, protect habitats, eliminate threats, and build capacity for bird conservation.

Partner History

ABC was founded in 1994 by George Fenwick, who saw the need for a bird conservation group that wasn’t afraid to take on the difficult issues facing birds, such as pesticides and habitat destruction.
