Rainforest Fayre

The school wrote to tell us about their fundraising:

Dear WLT,

We are members of the Year 6 Class at Arfryn Primary School in Swansea, in South Wales. All this term we have been learning about the rainforest areas of the world and of how they are important to us all.
We have been busy fundraising in order to buy some acres of rainforest in South America. Since January we have been baking and selling cakes at 20p .

Today we organised a Rainforest Fayre in our school hall and invited the rest of the school. We have been selling raffles tickets all week. The total some raised is £300.00 enough for 12 acres.

...and even more fundraising!

Arfryn Primary School in Swansea has now raised enough money to buy another 12 acres of Ecuadorian tropical rainforest, bringing the total area saved to 24 acres. Well done!
