An Artist in the Natural World

King penguins coming ashore, South Georgia by Bruce Pearson
Date and Time:
6 July – 9 August 2013 (Bruce Pearson in residence 7 – 11 July 2013)
World Land Trust gallery, Halesworth

From the Falklands to the Hula Valley, from Timbuktu to the Shetlands Isles, Bruce Pearson has combed the wild places of the world for inspiration for his award winning paintings and prints.

Bruce has been a friend to World Land Trust (WLT) since its inception and a trustee for many years. He has visited and painted in WLT project areas and also supports WLT through the Green Ink programme.

The Trust was therefore delighted to have the opportunity to host an artist in residency and an exhibition of Bruce’s work in WLT gallery.

During the residency in the second week of July, Bruce worked on paintings and monoprints in WLT gallery. This was an exciting opportunity for members of the public to meet Bruce and to see him at work.

Painted in different locations around the world, the works displayed reflected Bruce’s passion for coastal and marine landscapes, their moods and their wildlife.

Exhibition preview: Saturday 6 July, 12pm to 4pm.

Artist in residence: WLT gallery, Sunday to Thursday, 7 - 11 July, 10am - 4pm.

Gallery opening hours: Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm, closed weekends and Bank Holidays unless otherwise stated.
