Impress Print Services

Impress aim to give their clients peace of mind when buying print, helping them to meet their carbon reduction objectives and communicate corporate responsibility.

They consider it vitally important to measure, manage and communicate environmental performance.

To demonstrate their improvement trend, 8 years ago Impress were sending 36 – 1100L wheelie bins of waste per week to landfill, now its just 4. Despite adding 3 sites and trebling their turnover over the same period, landfill volume is still reducing.

They map all waste streams and recycle the vast majority including plates, paper, plastics, ink tins, residue ink, cartridges, batteries, IT items, drums, and more.

Carbon Reduction and Balancing is a key achievement. They calculate their carbon emissions, have committed themselves to a plan of carbon reduction and balancing unavoidable emissions through World Land Trust’s Carbon Balanced Paper Programme. They are proud to have been awarded ‘Carbon Balanced Publication Printer’ status.

In the last year Impress Print Services’ unavoidable carbon footprint was 489 tons. They preserved 41,000 sqm of high-value conservation land with World Land Trust, equivalent to 5 football pitches or taking 125 average petrol cars off the road annually.

Impress Print Services works with World Land Trust to Carbon Balance Paper and produce certificates for clients to show the carbon saved by responsible procurement.
