A regular donation as a World Land Trust (WLT) Friend provides invaluable reliable support to our conservation partners across the world as they protect some of the planet’s most rare and threatened species and the ecosystems they call home.
THE STAGGERING IMPACT OF WLT FRIENDS
WLT Friends support World Land Trust’s Action Fund, which provides urgent, targeted conservation action wherever and whenever it is most needed. The Action Fund is available to all conservation partners who need it, allowing them to respond quickly to the unexpected and protect land and wildlife in the face of whatever challenges may arise.
The Action Fund supports projects from the mountains of Pakistan to the cloud forests of Colombia. To just name a few, in Madagascar, support was given for fire management in the face of worsening climate change driven wildfires; unexpected opportunities for vital land purchases were fulfilled in Colombia, and emergency legal aid was supported in Tanzania.
What You Will Receive as a WLT Friend
When you first become a WLT Friend, you will receive a Friends Welcome Pack with details on how your support will help our partners, and a WLT Friend Pin Badge to showcase your support wherever you go.
Twice a year, alongside your edition of WLT News, you will receive a copy of Friends First Look; an exclusive update on the projects supported by the Action Fund.
Every month, you will also receive your digital Friends Postcard with highlights on what your donation is helping to support.
Invitations to exclusive webinars where you can learn about our partners and projects and ask questions.
How to Make a Regular Donation
You can become a WLT Friend via our secure website donation form via Direct Debit, credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal.
Alternatively, you can become a WLT Friend via Payroll Giving, which allows you to donate from your income before tax is deducted, you can ask your employer about this method and, if you would like to donate from outside the UK you can find out more on this page.
We can also accept regular donations though the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) and Standing Order. Our Supporter Care team can be contacted by email or on 01986 874422 and will be glad to tell you more and answer and questions you may have.
