Life on the Edge

With your help, we can reach our appeal target of £1,430,000 and double the amount of land protected by the Anzu and Zúñac Reserves in Ecuador’s upper Río Pastaza watershed.

In a place with such endemic biodiversity, every felled tree has the potential to send highly specialised species spiralling towards extinction.

By connecting these reserves, WLT and partner Fundación EcoMinga will create a critical biological corridor, saving precious forest habitat from irrevocable damage.

“What can I do as an Individual?”

“The thing to do is to facilitate local people owning and having responsibility for their land
and the success of WLT in bringing this about has been phenomenal.
It’s got that absolutely firmly in focus and that’s why I support WLT”

Sir David Attenborough explains in the video why he became a WLT Patron.

    What We Do

Since its foundation in 1989, World Land Trust has funded partner organisations around the world to create reserves and give permanent protection to habitats and wildlife.

To date, WLT has helped secure more than 2,409,420 acres of threatened habitat in 20 countries.
