Description

Some of the most famous bromeliads are the family to which pineapples belong, the Ananas. The common pineapple is Ananas comosus. Other species include Ananas bracteatus seen opposite. Species of Ananas are widely used by animals, such as being used as Lepidoptera larvae food plants.

Threats and Conservation
