Description

Protected by the following WLT projects:

A beautiful tree, with magnificent bright blue flowers, has now been formally described and published in the Proceedings of the Californian Academy of Science, and named in honour of the great natural historian and World Land Trust patron, Sir David Attenborough.

The Tree was discovered by Lou Jost (EcoMinga) on the Cerro Candelaria Reserve in Ecuador. So far the tree is known only to exist in this location although it may be found to occur at other sites.
