An urgent opportunity
An urgent opportunity has arisen to protect two pieces of land that provide some of the world’s most endangered species space to survive.
In Bolivia, agricultural expansion is threatening to destroy vital habitat. We have a small window to save one of last strongholds for the Blue-throated Macaw (Ara glaucogularis) – currently only 700 remain in the wild.
In South Africa, Leopard (Panthera pardus) populations are under pressure, as their habitat becomes increasingly fragmented and threatened by commercial land use.
Our mission is simple but urgent: secure these landscapes before they are lost forever. Join us to protect them for species to recover and flourish.
Donate today and your impact will go twice as far with Big Match Fortnight. During the first two weeks of the appeal, 7 – 21 October, all donations will be matched, meaning your gift will be doubled, and we’ll protect this land even sooner.
Where We Are Working
South Africa
Reconnecting the Elephant Coast
On South Africa’s Elephant Coast, Wild Tomorrow is working to reconnect fragmented habitat between the MunYaWana Conservancy and iSimangaliso Wetland Park. This appeal will secure another crucial piece of that wildlife corridor.
Bolivia
Expanding a stronghold for the Blue-throated Macaw
In Bolivia’s Beni Savanna, Asociación Armonía has created protected habitat for the Critically Endangered Blue-throated Macaw. This appeal will expand that protection by securing another 636 ha alongside the existing reserve network.

These two projects span different continents and ecosystems, but individual pieces of land make up a much bigger landscape for wildlife. Follow each story to see the protected areas already in place, the threats around them, and exactly where this appeal can secure the next vital piece of land.

What Our Partners Say
South Africa: Wild Tomorrow
“There are two patches of primary sand forest, a critically endangered forest type that is only found in two places in the world and South Africa is one of them. It grows only on very old sand dunes – when the sea and the beach were much farther inland, they left all of this sand behind, and magnificent forest grew from it.
Unfortunately, all of the land around this remnant is now pineapple fields and what was once completely sand forest is now gone. To think this could all just disappear without anybody knowing is a travesty, so these sand forests are very important for us to protect and the sand forest in this piece of land is truly exceptional”
John Steward, Wild Tomorrow Co-Founder & Executive Director
Bolivia: Asociación Armonía
“The Blue-throated Macaw population is increasing, which means we need more nesting habitat, more foraging habitat and more space for the species to expand.
By securing this land now, we’re not only protecting habitat for today’s macaws, we’re helping create the habitat future generations will depend on.”
Bennett Hennessey, Director of Development, Asociación Armonía.

By working across two continents, we can protect habitats and more than 1,600 species that depend on them.
It is our urgent mission to secure these landscapes before they are lost forever.
Join us to protect them for wildlife to recover and thrive.
