Margarita Island’s Parrot Appeal
Help save endangered Yellow-shouldered Parrot chicks from the illegal pet trade that is threatening their survival on the Caribbean island of Margarita, off the north coast of Venezuela. World Land Trust (WLT) has just six months, from March to August, to urgently raise £10,000 to protect this seasons parrot chicks and ensure they are not taken illegally.
Buy an Acre
A donation to the WLT's flagship Buy an Acre appeal turns threatened wildlife habitats into nature reserves. Your donation will be used to permanently protect habitat in Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico where we can still save a whole acre for £100. Save quarter of an acre, half an acre or a whole acre, and all the wildlife that depends on it.
Keepers of the Wild Appeal
Help fund rangers to protect nature reserves. WLT has helped create reserves across the world to save some of the planet’s most threatened habitats and wildlife. But protecting these reserves puts a strain on our partner’s resources. Through the Keepers of the Wild appeal you can help us protect wildlife by funding more rangers in the field.
Plant a Tree Appeal
Plant a Tree with WLT for just £5 and help to restore the Atlantic Rainforest in a permanently protected nature reserve in Brazil. Many years ago this nature reserve was farmland, so a lot of its pristine forest was destroyed to grow crops and for cattle to graze. By donating to this Plant a Tree appeal you will help connect fragmented Atlantic Rainforest to create a contiguous habitat for wildlife.
Action Fund
The most effective way to donate to the WLT - your donation will be allocated to one of WLT’s urgent fundraising and protection projects. The Action Fund gives us the flexibility to direct money to where it is most needed; we can respond to the changing circumstances faced by our in-country project partners and be ready for opportunities to purchase and protect wildlife habitats as they arise.
