World Land Trust (WLT) is looking to increase capacity within its People team, with this new role supporting the current People Manager. This position offers a real opportunity for someone looking to develop in the role, with lots of opportunity to establish systems and improve processes, whilst developing their skills. The People Admin Assistant will provide advice and guidance to staff and line managers around implementation of policy, review and develop processes, and provide solid administrative support to the People Manager.

WLT is based in the UK and is unique within the conservation world. Reaching its 30th year of operation the Trust has grown from small beginnings, saving critically threatened forest in Belize to become an internationally respected conservation organisation with a proven track record, working with more than 30 overseas conservation NGOs on protection of threatened habitats. WLT has developed its modus operandi without losing its vision, integrity and transparency.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a candidate who is keen to work in an environment where they can use their existing skills, with opportunities to develop both in the role and professionally within the field of Human Resources. The successful candidate will be someone with experience of working within a confidential environment in an administrative role, ideally within HR, with exceptional organisational and administration skills and a strong IT focus. A finisher, who enjoys tying up the loose ends and ensuring that supporting processes are in place, who has an approachable manner and is a collaborative team member with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships in line with our values.
The post is part-time (12 hours per week), based in WLT’s offices in Halesworth, Suffolk, and hours would ideally be worked Tuesday to Thursday. However, we are happy to talk Flexible Working, from day one.
Salary £6,429pa, which is pro-rata to the full-time equivalent of 18,750pa
