Earth Optimism Goes Digital SEARCH NEWS

Earth Optimism Summit | Smithsonian Conservation Commons

Climate change hasn’t gone anywhere. And neither has Earth Optimism 2020. With this year’s events postponed, the annual event has gone online for a Digital Summit packed with an impressive collection of live events.

Until 26 April 2020, everyone can join in with a selection of live broadcasts, ‘Deep Dive’ workshops, panel discussions and lectures. There’s something for everyone with the event covering a variety of conservation and climate crisis topics, from pollution to solutions, and exploring accomplishments from all around the world.

If you’d like to learn more about the way our partners work, don’t miss Transforming Conservation: Crisis and Opportunity  on 24 April at 10am EDT as Maria Teresa Vargas, Executive Director of Fundacion Natura Bolivia, will be part of the discussion about how conservationists can deliver creative, impactful and scalable solutions to preserve biodiversity and ecological health around the globe, including how this may be influenced by the current experience of a global pandemic.

The natural world remains under significant threat. The commitment of events such as Earth Optimism allows the dialogue to continue so that we can find ways to work together to protect our future.
