WLT fundraiser gets set for Mount Kilimanjaro challenge SEARCH NEWS

Jenna-Louise Baird, training for the climb.

Following the birth of her son, Jenna-Louise Baird has challenged herself to become fit enough to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for World Land Trust (WLT).

Jenna explained why she chose to fundraise for WLT: “I want to do my bit to help with raising awareness, giving the natural world a chance and preserving as much as we can for future generations before it’s too late.”

Jenna has already raised some £1,400 of her £2,650 target by hosting events such as a poker tournament and a fundraising night at the Golf and Country Club where she trains.

Jenna has taken on an extensive exercise routine and is determined to be in the best possible shape for the climb. As well as working out six days a week, Jenna is using an elevation training mask in her exercise routine to increase stamina and lung capacity at high altitudes.

Having raised more than £1,000 in WLT’s 25th anniversary year, Jenna is an Anniversary Fundraiser and will receive a certificate signed by WLT Patron Sir David Attenborough.
