Chris Jenkin John Burton cheque

Enterprise Plants has donated £2,000 to the Plant a Tree programme of World Land Trust (WLT), following successful sales of Christmas trees in 2014.

Enterprise Plants Managing Director Chris Jenkin recently visited the WLT headquarters in Suffolk to present a cheque to John Burton, WLT Chief Executive.

WLT’s Plant a Tree programme supports the planting of native trees in Ecuador, restoring degraded habitat, connecting fragmented habitat and providing additional food sources for bird and animal populations.

Currently WLT is working with Fundación Jocotoco in Ecuador to plant trees in the Jorupe Reserve.

Enterprise Plants is the Trust’s longest standing corporate supporter. The company has been involved with WLT for more than two decades and continues to actively support WLT.

In 2015 Enterprise Plants sponsored the prizes for WLT’s International Trail Camera Competition. The conservation organisations that submitted the winning images in the competition’s four categories all won grants of £2,000. Guyra Paraguay recorded the overall winning picture, an image of a Jaguar on a flooded trail at Three Giants Biological Station, and collected an additional grant of £3,000.
