The perfect green Mother’s Day Gift: Save acres of threatened wildlife habitat

Saving acres of tropical rainforest for your Mum is the greatest gift you can give on Mother’s Day, 3 April 2011. For every £25 you donate to the World Land Trust (WLT), a quarter of an acre of threatened habitat will be protected and turned into a wildlife reserve especially for your Mum. These are real acres in real places, so you can choose to save wildlife habitats in Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador or Mexico.  You will be helping to save some of the Earth’s most impressive species – including Jaguars, Bears and Manatees. Every Mother’s Day gift pack sent by post is specially created to include a personalised certificate and an exclusive wildlife card. The gift pack is full of information about the habitat and wildlife you are helping to save and also includes the latest issue of WLT News, a mini-magazine describing the Trust’s recent conservation activities across the world.

You can also choose to receive the gift pack by email, which will have links to information on the project you are supporting, our e-bulletin and WLT News. If you would like to include a card to compliment your electronic gift pack, then choose from one of the attractive e-cards on our website – the greener way of sharing your personalised message. WLT has already saved 400,000 acres of critically endangered habitat, protecting some of the world’s most threatened species. The areas you buy will be protected forever, owned and managed by our partner organisations, ensuring that the power to conserve wildlife remains in the hands of local people. Rather than buying your Mum a bunch of flowers that will die in a few days share your passion for protecting the world’s wilderness and its wildlife for her instead.
