World Land Trust students raise funds for parrot research – and hummingbirds raise funds for WLT SEARCH NEWS

Recent WLT events:

This year’s WLT Diploma Students are currently undertaking an expedition to Venezuela, where they will research the status of the vulnerable Yellow-Shouldered Parrot. In preparation for their visit the students organised and held a Venezuelan themed fundraising evening at the University of East Anglia, Norwich.

A month later, rare prints of hummingbirds by John Gould raised funds for the Trust’s work thanks to an exhibition at Henry Sotheran Antique Prints Gallery, London. WLT Council Member and wildlife writer, Simon Barnes enthused guests about hummingbirds at the opening night of the exhibition, which runs until 10 April.
