CBSG supported the World Land Trust through donations raised as members attended conferences in 2007 and 2011.

Conservation and WLT support

CBSG worked with the World Land Trust to provide their members with the opportunity to offset carbon dioxide emissions associated with travelling to the 2011 CBSG Annual Meeting in Prague, as part of WLT's Carbon Balanced programme. In 2007, using a similar method, they supported reforestation projects in Ecuador.

The Conservation Breeding Specialist Group is part of IUCN - the World Conservation Union - and their mission is to save threatened species by increasing the effectiveness of conservation efforts worldwide. They have over ten year's experience and nearly 1,000 voluntary members, bringing together people and knowledge to benefit conservation.
