Sarah Class

Sarah Class is an award winning composer and singer/songwriter with a passionate interest in the environment. In the words of HMV Classical Reviews Magazine:
"Sarah Class is one of Britain's brightest young musical stars. Her style is both hauntingly ethereal and sensual, mingling folky influences and a powerfully romantic blend of orchestral and electronic sonorities..."
Sarah has composed scores for film and television, and has worked extensively with the BBC Natural History Unit. Most notably, The Meerkats, narrated by Paul Newman, The Blue Planet (the environmental sequel - Deep Trouble) and the soundtrack to State of the Planet (narrated by Sir David Attenborough), nominated for an Emmy. Most recently Sarah composed the soundtrack to Sir David Attenborough’s 3-part series: Madagascar. Her music was highly acclaimed with the Radio Times review, saying:
"Even the music, which can be overblown on these ‘landmark’ nature series, is subtle and well judged – nice work from Sarah Class."
This year (2012) Sarah has recorded a new album in New York with twice Grammy Award winning producer Jay Newland. Due to be released early 2013.
She is supporting the WLT by donating £1 from each sale of her new CD, A New Dawn.
