WLT eVolunteers
Internet Volunteering for Conservation
eVolunteers Wanted!
The WLT's eVolunteers (or or Internet Volunteers, or e-Volunteers) are people who volunteer their time to helping the Trust by using the Internet. The WLT eVolunteer panel provides valuable assistance for the development of the World Land Trust and its website. We are always looking for more people to join, so if you are interested in eVolunteering, read on.
What do eVolunteers do?
They use the Internet in their spare time and feed ideas to the WLT Web Manager.
Who are your Internet volunteers?
The WLT eVolunteers are all ages, from all walks of life.
What experience is needed for Internet Volunteering?
Some eVolunteers are what can be described as 'techies' and know all the ins and outs of websites, the Internet and computing, while others are complete novices. We need both.
- We need our techies to help provide information and advice outside the scope of our staff;
- we need novices to make sure it is all intelligible to the world at large.
What particular skills or interests are you looking for?
To become an eVolunteer for the WLT, all you need is some time to spare, access to a computer and an interest in supporting wildlife conservation. However, if you have any of the following skills, we would particularly like to hear from you:
- JavaScript
- Adobe Flash
- Cascading Style Sheets
- Knowledge of a particular topic related to conservation
Why eVolunteer?
Internet Volunteering is a way of helping save wildlife, and at the same time becoming more involved with an international conservation organisation. If you show a high level of commitment to eVolunteering, it will also look good on your C.V.!
How do I start Internet volunteering?
To become an eVolunteer, please email us at: info@worldlandtrust.org. Although there is no need to include a formal C.V./Resume, it would be helpful if you could include a list of interests and/or skills that you are hoping to make use of as an Internet Volunteer.
