Thuringia International School, Germany

Students learned about sharing our world with animals
Money raised:
£500
Supported:
Indian Elephant Project

"In April 2012, Early Primary students at Thuringia International School in Weimar, Germany learned about Sharing Our World with animals. An aim of the Primary Years Programme that we follow at school, is to make a difference in the world.

"A student with Indian background, together with his mum, proposed an idea to raise funds for the Indian Elephants. Our students joined in the enthusiasm and held a bakesale and Indian Dinner to raise £500 needed to buy land for the Indian Elephants.

"Students also created a book, called Something Fishy, that was sold at a profit that went towards the project. Students at Thuringia International School are committed to caring for our world and making a difference!"

Mari Pienaar, June 2012
