Avenue Primary School's Year 4 children participated in the 'Make a Difference Challenge' in the Spring term last year. The children wanted to raise enough money to help save the rainforest. They completed their own research, discovered the World Land Trust website and decided they would aim to raise some money to save at least one acre of the rainforest! The children planned their own fundraising event, which included dressing up as rainforest animals for the day and making posters and leaflets about the worthy cause, for their parents to read. They then made their own iMovies about the endangered animals in the rainforest. Once completed, all of the Year 4 parents were invited to view the iMovies and made a donation for the privilege. The children reached their goal and raised just over £100!
