As part of a Charlie and the Chocolate factory themed project, Year 2 class (Lovely Lobsters) at Abberley Primary School in Worcestershire held a “Chocolate celebration” for family and friends.

For the science and geography element of the topic they studied the climate, location and diversity of the world’s rainforests. The children particularly enjoyed this aspect of the topic and were very concerned to hear about the plight of the rainforest and the species that live there.

The children presented their work, served chocolate treats they had made and performed a rainforest dance. The children spoke about the importance of the rainforests and asked for donations to help them buy an area of rainforest through World Land Trust.
