Save tropical forests and other threatened wildlife habitats
Over 375,000 acres of wildlife habitat already saved

saved over 375,000 acres of wildlife habitats including
tropical forests, coastal steppes and wetlands. See
our track record »
Why support World Land Trust?
Direct Action to save threatened habitats
- We take direct action to save
tropical forests and other wildlife habitats: we buy
it, acre by acre.
- The land we buy is protected indefinitely as
private reserves owned and managed by local
organisations for the benefit of both wildlife and
people.

Urgent Appeal: Save orang-utan habitat in Borneo
Because of the world demand for Palm Oil, the forests of Borneo are disappearing before our eyes. This is bad news for Orang-utans and other wildlife. WLT has an urgent appeal to create forest corridors in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. Will you help?
Our conservation projects
Right
now, our most urgent conservation
projects are saving threatened
wildlife habitats in Brazil, Ecuador, India and
Paraguay.
Brazil:
Only 7% of the Atlantic rainforest remains intact,
so we are working to increase the Guapi Assu reserve in Brazil
to save one of the last locations where original forests remain
intact.

Paraguay:
The growing market for biofuels threatens unique habitats,
so we are fundraising to purchase and protect Dry
Chaco, Chaco-Pantanal
and Atlantic
Forest, all of which are threatened by the spread of industrial agriculture.
