The World Land Trust uses a secure server to process all donations from the Internet. This ensures that the sensitive information that you give is encrypted so that it cannot be read by others.
All World Land Trust donations and orders are encrypted using 2048-bit Public/Private Key encryption with variable 168-bit session keys and processed by SecureTrading. Learn more about the security SecureTrading uses here
To ensure the information you are giving is protected from prying eyes, look for the padlock symbol in your browser. This will be displayed next to the address bar at the top of the window, or in the bottom right or left hand corner depending on which browser you use. Normally the padlock is open or not displayed, but when it is closed the site you are viewing is secure.
You shold also look at the address shown in the address bar of your browser. On a secure page, the address will begin with https instead of http.
You can view the Security Certificate information for the website in question by double-clicking on the padlock symbol. The World Land Trust holds a SSL Server Certificate issued by Thawte Server CA.
