What is Gift Aid?

The Gift Aid scheme enables the World Land Trust (WLT) to reclaim the basic rate of tax on all donations made, at no extra cost to you. If you pay income or capital gains tax in the UK at least equal to the amount the WLT claims, we can reclaim 25p for every £1 you donate , as well as receiving a further 3% transitional relief from the Government. Note that only donations from individuals (that is, not collections, company or school donations) are eligible for Gift Aid . You may notify the WLT of the cancellation of this declaration at any time, and it is your responsibility to do so, should your tax status change.
