Milgar is responsible for preventing illegal activities in parts of the Rio Bravo Conservation Management Area.
Among other duties he protects the nests of the Yellow Headed Parrot (Amazona oratrix belizensis), a Belizean subspecies classified as Endangered by IUCN.
Rio Bravo Conservation Management Area is home to Jaguar (Panthera onca), Puma (Puma concolor) and Ocelot (Leopardus pardalis), as well as 390 species of bird, including Harpy Eagle (Harpia harpyja).
