World Land Trust (WLT) has launched the ‘Defending the Chaco’ appeal on the WLT website in a bid to help reverse the devastation to the Paraguayan Dry Chaco.

In March this year, as part of the field work for her Graduate Diploma in Conservation Administration, Alison Lewis went to the rainforests of Paraguay to study the butterflies.

On November 19th, Dr José Luis Casaccia, Paraguay’s former Minister of the Environment and Dr Alberto Yanosky, Executive Director of Guyra Paraguay gave a presentation at the House of Commons to bring the ecological disaster taking place in the Paraguayan Chaco to the attention of the UK Government.
