The Elephant Parade organised in London by Elephant Family has been a huge success. Something around £5 million has been raised, a proportion of which will go to saving the Indian Elephants, and a large proportion of that will be going to the projects that the World Land Trust (WLT) has been promoting with the Wildlife Trust of India.
The SHO Jewellery dazzling Pearly Prince elephant has been sold at auction and has made his way from the window of Coutts to a more private location. The Swarovski embellished elephant raised an amazing £18,000 for conservation charity the World Land Trust.
London has recently been invaded by a herd of over 250 Elephants (and the internet similarly invaded). The Elephant Parade is organised by the Elephant Family charity, and is proving to be an amazing publicity generating operation which ultimately will generate a lot of funds.
