Wildlife presenter, adventurer and WLT Patron Steve Backshall and his wife, Olympic champion rower Helen will be hosting a talk about their marathon kayak race to save Borneo's threatened forests and the endangered species that live there.

Steve and Helen kayaked 125 miles non-stop from Devizes in Wiltshire to the Houses of Parliament at Westminster in the classic DW race, across Easter weekend, April 2017.

They are racing to raise funds to protect a section of rainforest in Malaysian Borneo, saving it from being cut down to make way for oil palm plantations and safeguarding the wealth of  threatened wildlife, such as Orang-utans, Proboscis Monkeys and Pygmy Elephants.

Doors open at 5.30PM, where drinks and snacks will be available to purchase at the bar. Following talks by Steve and Helen, there will be a Q&A session followed by a book signing.
