The Promise: storytelling and craft activities

Nicola Davies holds up a copy of The Promise.
Date and Time:
16 April 2014
Venue:
Halesworth Library
Details:

Children’s author Nicola Davies will be in Halesworth Library on Wednesday 16 April for a morning session with the Library’s Time Out group and an afternoon of storytelling and craft activities for children.

The events have been organised by World Land Trust (WLT), which is holding an exhibition about Nicola’s recent book, The Promise, in WLT gallery in Halesworth from 15 March–25 April 2014.

The Promise tells the story of a girl who plants trees all over the grey, run down city where she lives, at the same time transforming herself and her environment. The Promise is a simple story with an important message about our power to reshape ourselves and the world around us.

The Promise - with its central message of personal and environmental transformation - has the power to speak to a variety of people and to be a catalyst for change,” said Nicola, who is looking forward to sharing its message during the outreach sessions in Halesworth Library in April.
