Grab your kit and join us in the world’s forests from 24-25 June, with The Big Canopy Campout.

The Big Canopy Campout brings together climbers, explorers, scientists, natural history film-makers and everyday people to value forests through adventure. Campouts take place around the world from the great Bornean rainforests to the mighty Amazon jungle. On 24 June we will come together to celebrate and save these precious ecosystems.

Get involved!

We want you to join us to celebrate the high rainforest frontier and help protect the forest through adventure! Canopy professionals will be setting up tree-top sleepovers but anyone can get involved.

If you’re not a canopy professional just sling your hammock, rig your tree-tent or build your den on the forest floor and share your event to inspire us all. Encourage your friends and supporters to donate via your own JustGiving page or donate directly using the links below.

All funds raised will go to World Land Trust to purchase and protect precious rainforest in Borneo, through the Saving Kinabatangan appeal. This project aims to purchase and protect an important stretch of Bornean Rainforest adjacent to the Pangi Virgin Jungle Reserve. The areas to be purchased provide vital connectivity to the Kinabatangan River, for highly threatened species such as Bornean Orang-utan, Pygmy Elephant, Proboscis Monkey, Helmeted Hornbill and Sunda Pangolin.

Whether you are swinging high above the canopy in a giant Bornean dipterocarp or have simply slung your hammock between two trees in your own local woodland you are equally welcome. Whatever you do you will be joining a huge global audience all united by their shared love of forests.
