Sir David Attenborough Joins World Land Trust as a Patron

Sir David Attenborough has been a supporter of the World Land since it was founded in in 1989. At the launch of the first project – to raise funds for the Programme for Belize – Sir David wrote a letter of support that appeared in the Today newspaper, which donated £25,000 to the project. Sir David also helped found the Trust’s Authors and Artists for Conservation (now Green Ink). Over the years Sir David has continued to support the Trust in a variety of ways, culminating in his being the Guest of Honour at a fundraising event for the Christopher Parsons Rainforest, in memory of his former friend and the producer of Life on Earth.
