Guy Bicknell has completed a gruelling Iron Man triathlon challenge to raise funds for World Land Trust (WLT).

Guy swam 2.4 miles, cycled 112 miles and ran 26.2 miles on the Mexican island of Cozumel in an impressive time of 12 hours 31 minutes. Thanks to his efforts, Guy has raised more than £1,300 to support WLT’s project to save wildlife and threatened habitat in Mexico’s Sierra Gorda.

Guy has been a WLT Friend since 2014. He said: “If the land is not protected, it would most likely fall victim to logging and clearance for farming. I’d like to thank everyone who’s sponsored me and helped me raise such a fantastic amount for this great cause.”

In preparation for the event Guy completed 3,500 miles of training over 365 hours.
