Going green pays off

Fundraiser Steven Ware has raised £600 for World Land Trust (WLT) by sporting green hair for a month.

Steven dyed his hair forest green for a month to help raise money and awareness for WLT’s conservation work.

When he had met his target, Steven told us: “The fundraising went so well that I moved the target twice and now I've reached my £600 goal.”

This isn’t the first time Steven has raised money for WLT. In 2011 he raised nearly £500 by painting a tree on his car every time he received a donation.

Then in June 2014 he did 1,000 push ups in two hours. This raised more than £1,000 and earned him a special Anniversary Fundraiser’s certificate signed by WLT Patron Sir David Attenborough.

A passionate supporter of conservation, Steven said: “I cannot think of anything more important for humanity to be doing right now than saving the world’s ecosystems and the flora and fauna contained within them.”
