A Toco Toucan by Edward Lear - one of the lithographs on display at the exhibition.

On 8th July, the antiquarian book shop Henry Sotheran’s on Sackville Street, Piccadilly, will open the exciting exhibition ‘Colourful Encounters: Toucans and other Ecuadorian Birds by John Gould (1804-1881)’.  Original printed lithographs of toucans will be on display as well as images of other beautiful birds including hummingbirds and trogons.

Taking place in the Antique Print Department, the exhibition runs until 30 July. The sale of these beautiful and rare lithographs will help raise funds for World Land Trust’s (WLT) Ecuadorian projects through Fundación Jocotoco and Fundación EcoMinga.
