Eurojersey helps save Atlantic Rainforest in Argentina

Eurojersey is an Italian producer of a warp-knit fabrics range used in lingerie, swimwear and sports clothing. Their unique fabric, Sensitive® Fabrics System is sold throughout the world and from January 2010, Eurojersey are partnering World Land Trust (WLT) in support of conservation by donating funds to purchase and protect One Metre of Rainforest for One Metre of Fabric sold.

WLT will be using Eurojersey funds to purchase and protect critically threatened Atlantic Rainforests in Misiones Province in Argentina.

Eurojersey sets itself very high standards and the company strives to be as environmentally responsible as possible. The commitment to the environment involves all the189 staff working for the SensitivEcoSystem® programme in their Caronno Pertusella factory in Italy. Training in safety and environmental issues has enabled them to attain record results in the whole production cycle, recovery of recyclable materials and the elimination of energy waste.

"The concerns of everyone involved about environmental conditions has been the main factor in turning awareness into a shared ethical behaviour, in relation to both the work tasks performed and everybody's private life", says Eurojersey.
