Scientists shocked by number of Blue Whale deaths

Scientists alarmed as three Blue Whales have been found dead off the Southern Californian coast in the past few weeks.

Summer fires serverely damage Greek forests

WWF - Greece report that wild fires burnt more than 177,000 hectares of forest in the Peloponese Peninsula South of Athens.

Bear rescued from a bridge in California

A 250 pound bear stranded under an 80ft bridge was rescued by a team of volunteers using a nylon net bought from an Army surplus store and a tranquiliser dart.

New species discovered in Vietnam

WWF - announced that biologists have found eleven previously unknown species of plants and animals in the Thia Thien Hue Province, known as the Green Corridor, a remote region of central Vietnam.
