Big retail names put ban on palm oil

Two of the biggest retail names in the UK are to put a ban on the sale of palm oil from unsustainable sources.

Mass dolphin killings by Brazilian fishing vessel

83 tucuxi dolphins, a seriously threatened species suffocated to death in the nets of a Brazilian fishing vessel.

Rare bird chicks spotted

Three Montagu's Harrier chicks have been spotted at Digby Fen, Lincolnshire by the RSPB, with hopes that there could be more.

Dead Zone in the Gulf of Mexico is expanding

The dead zone is a swath of water with levels of oxygen so low that marine life can be either threatened or killed. This zone is now thought to be the largest its been since it was first measured in 1985.
