Divers to repair hurricane-damaged coral reef 


Latest News Headlines 
Manchones Reef in Mexico is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest reef in the world. The reef was badly damaged by Hurricane Wilma in October, and divers are now trying to repair it. Using metal rods and cement glue they are attempting to put detached bits of coral back into place, hoping to speed up the recovery time of the reef by increasing the survival rate of damaged coral.
