New Dolphin Species Discovered in Australia 


Latest News Headlines

A new species of dolphin has been discovered by Australian scientists. The newly identified Australian Snubfin Dolphin is closely related to the highly endangered Irrawaddy Dolphin, but it does not, as previously thought, belong to the same species. Both types of dolphin live in shallow, coastal waters and are therefore susceptible to human threats such as catch in fishing nets and coastal development.
