60 percent of the ecosystem services that support life on Earth are being degraded or used unsustainably, according to the The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment Synthesis Report, released 30th March. Experts warn that the ongoing degradation of ecosystem services is increasingly likely to lead to changes that will affect human well-being.
