Online donation forms subject to delays 

WLT website technical update 

Due to a temporary problem with the server that processes our online donation transactions, you may currently incur serious delays when attempting to donate online.

Protx, who provide the secure payment system for WLT's new online donation forms, have been subjected to a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack. According to Protx, "a DDOS attack occurs when criminal gangs or malicious hackers flood a website or server with requests so that the server is unable to respond to the volume of requests made."

The problem, which slows down the server but does not affect the security of our donation system, is being dealt with and we hope things will be back to normal within a couple of days. In the meantime you can make donations by telephone, fax or post, as described on the "Making a donation to the World Land Trust" page.
