Notes: One of a series of drawings made at Dyffryn Dairy in Meifod, Wales. These are part of an ongoing residency project with the dairy, started in 2009/2010. All the drawings are made from life in the fields, barns and parlour at the dairy - often with the odd lick, scuff and dribble from the cows themselves. For the past two years, visits have been over the New Year (2009/10, 2010/11). During early morning milking sessions, temperatures can drop to -14 degrees. The breath and body heat of the cows in the parlour and barns keeps the barns above zero.
